“Ryouya-kun, wake up.”
“You need to start getting ready or we’ll be late.”
Reona and Riona shook me and I opened my eyes. Sleepy, but I remembered — today was the single most important event of my life.
Yes. Today is our wedding. My zero-friends configuration meant the guest list was family only, but oversleeping was not survivable.
“That was close — saved me.”
“Ryouya-kun is so Ryouya-kun even today.”
“Riona and I are ready. Just you left.”
I got out of bed and rushed through prep. The ceremony was at 11; we had to be at the venue three hours early.
The fact that I was getting married was unbelievable. High-school-freshman me would have considered this fiction. I had genuinely expected to die alone.
”…One last check — you’re sure this is the configuration you want?”
“Yes, this is what Riona and I decided.”
“Me and Nee-chan are both satisfied.”
Needless to say, Japanese law permits one marriage. I couldn’t marry both of them simultaneously — one had to be the official spouse.
The solution they had proposed — marry one, the other becomes the publicly recognized mistress — had at the time made me think I was losing my hearing. But they were both fully committed to this arrangement, so I had no further objections.
We finished prep and moved to the venue to start. Bride preparations took far longer than groom preparations, so I waited.
Both of them were wearing wedding dresses, by the way — which was part of why we had limited the ceremony to family.
The staff called us — bride prep was done. I went to the dressing room and there they were — Reona and Riona in pure white wedding dresses.
“How is it? Do they suit us?”
“Yeah. Stunningly.”
“Good. I was worried Ryouya was going to be Ryouya about it.”
“I have, in fact, grown.”
“The guy who nearly overslept his own wedding doesn’t have the standing for that.”
She had me there. I had grown though. Anyway — wedding now, slightly nervous.
Maybe I should try the trick Reona taught me — write 人 on your palm three times, swallow. While I was thinking that, my body started shaking. Like someone was pulling at me.
“Ryouya-kun, wake up — lunch break is here.”
The two in front of me weren’t speaking. Reona’s voice was coming from a higher position. The next instant, I woke up.
◇
“Finally — Ryouya-kun, you always pass out during class.”
“Hurry or you’ll miss lunch break.”
”…Wait, the wedding?”
“Heh — Ryouya-kun was having a fun dream. Care to tell me exactly who you were marrying?”
“A week into dating and you’re already cheating — unforgivable.”
The realization that everything from the wake-up onward had been a dream hit me — but Reona and Riona were radiating dark energy and had a painful grip on my shoulders.
Cheating in a dream counts now?
“It was a dream of our wedding with both of you — not cheating.”
“Oh — so you’re already thinking that far ahead about us, Ryouya-kun.”
“Yeah, Ryouya can if he tries.”
That defused it. They asked follow-up questions about the dream.
“What was the wedding like?”
“What about the wedding kiss?”
“Sorry, you woke me up before that.”
“Aw, boring.”
“The most important part.”
Reona and Riona pouted again. I explained that the dream had ended, and they accepted it.
To think — No-Trait Plain-Average Me Saved the Lives of Twin Sisters and Discovered They Were Yandere had changed my entire life direction.
Since I had made the two girls who had turned out to be yandere completely fall for me, escape was, going forward, not in the option space. But that life — actually — was probably fine. I had no concrete reason for thinking so, but I was, somehow, sure of it.

End of web version.
Reader thanks — especially to those who read the old version too.
Print volume 1 releases on 2025-06-25, covering chapters 1-54 (the front half). Volume 2, if it happens, would cover chapter 55 through the final chapter (the back half), though the exact split could shift. Volume 3 onward (if it happens) would be a post-festival storyline.
Volume 2 and beyond depend on volume 1’s sales — please consider purchasing if you can.
I’ll be focusing on these next two works going forward:
