Yeah I Know — Onii-chan Is Onii-chan

第104話 知ってる、だってお兄ちゃんだし

After making our rounds of the high school booths, we moved to the middle school building for their booths.

Normally only middle schoolers were over here, but today the high school uniform count was high. Everyone was checking out middle school’s offerings.

“Mio’s class first.”

“Yeah, you’ve said it five times, got it.

“Ryouya is a sister-con.”

Reona and Riona looked at me flatly. Wanting to see your cute sister’s display is a normal feeling.

“Mio-chan’s class is doing what again?”

“Cosplay café, I think Mio said.”

They’d initially planned maid café, but unfairness-to-the-male-half had pushed it to cosplay café instead. While I thought that, the two of them shifted to wariness.

“Taking Ryouya-kun there — risky?”

“Worked-up Ryouya might make a move.”

“I would not.

I’d been accused of similar things before. Apparently I look like a danger.

“Then Riona and I will monitor him so he doesn’t misbehave.”

“That’s reassuring.”

“This is suffocating to walk in.”

Both arms locked by Reona-and-Riona, I was a spectacle. Stares everywhere.

We entered Mio’s classroom while drawing significant attention. The greeter girl was visibly intimidated. Feels like a punishment game. Mio, in maid costume, came over.

“The boys outside were saying a harem-male was here, and I figured what handsome guy showed up — turns out it’s you guys.”

“Mio-chan, hi.”

“Ryouya wanted to come, so the three of us did.”

“Just so it’s clear, I am not enjoying this configuration.”

“Yeah I know — Onii-chan is Onii-chan.”

Harsh. Even Mio wasn’t sparing me. In her position I’d want to pretend not to know me too.

“Lots of variation in the costumes.”

“Yeah, we said anything goes on cosplay — so people went wild.”

True — butler, sentai hero, full range. Anything goes, indeed.

“Mio-chan in a maid uniform is adorable.

“Yeah, Riona and I really want to draft her as our little sister.”

“Thank you, but Reona-san and Riona-san would suit it better.”

The Mio-draft attempt continued. They might actually do it.

We enjoyed the cosplay café. Festival rules forbid in-class cooking, so all food and drinks were store-bought commercial products — but the atmosphere was what mattered.

Compared to my middle school’s festival, the energy here was next level. The combined middle-and-high school structure must be a major contributor.

“All right, fully indulged — next?”

“Yeah, where?”

“Culture-club exhibits.”

Neither my-and-Reona’s class’s play nor Riona’s class’s play was today, so we had the full day free. Tour mode continues.
